While I somewhat agree, you'd be surprised how light rear seats are. They're just foam and wire. They don't have a frame or tracks (obviously) like front seats.

Hey I took my son & his two best buddies out for his bithday brunch on Sunday I almost wish the rear seat was flat across so it could have an alternate pupose, and yes I told the ankle bitters to be carefull, so after all said & done foot makes all over, its ok It keeps me up on doin a whole interior clean from head to toe ! Then I felt gooood !

Here's mine... Rear seat is only a light metal wire frame, foam, and vinyl/cloth.

Plywood or OSB (which is used in these kits) is HEAVIER than the above components! Add the plywood + carpet + anchors and I guarantee your delete kit will weigh more than what you had, and IMO looks like crap to boot.

the only reason these cars came with a rear seat was to keep ins costs down . from what I have heard any way. Ins is more expensive on a 2 seater car.

You keep wanting to buy a new mod so pick up some mirror caps, best bang for the buck and really dresses up the car

My nine year old son and six year old daughter ride in the back seat quite comfortably, and last time I checked they still had their head and legs.

I don't of the alloy yet(hasn't been one nice day in weeks for pics) but the red one had them-one of the very first sets. I had these waiting for the car as they are a must do! Project source horse has em. Just get the matching windvail blue, they install in minutes and hold up great. $75, and its a mod that once you get used to it, any car you see without it kinda annoys you. I brought my car around to the delivery deck(my old car was already in the showroom for sale), looked at it 'ugh!' and went to my desk and put them on before I even drove it as 'my' car.

Brad's car is the one example shown on the website for them.

There must be 100 replies on threads here where I say it looks great!- now get some mirror caps

My roommate rode in the back seat for about 20 miles. She said it was fine.

I kinda like the way it looks, and with ICAP, it's kinda-sorta part of the look.

Here's my scientific analysis: According to my calculations air weighs less than a light metal wire frame, foam, and vinyl/cloth. Pull the thing out, throw some carpet over the hole and be done with it.

Yea, that would work. (I don't have any 6 or 9-year-old friends either )

I dont know if someone posted this but this delete kit is from MMR. Good luck. Doesnt look too bad too me, and they claim it does lose quite a bit of weight. I may do something like this down the road when I am really pushing the boundaries, But I am sure I would re cover it with the ICAP read leather/vinyl or something and probably work in some subs, LOL. Later.
