Rear gear oil

Can you tell me what gear oil is needed for my 06GT? I used this stuff

Do I need friction modifier? I think its already in there.
Thanks for the help!

Yep, pretty sure that is the right stuff.

Ford has changed their viscosity recommendation over the years, not sure why they did that. . . . IIRC it was 75W-110 in the past and then later raised to 90W-140. I guess either one is OK.

It says it does not need the friction modifier, in other words it is already in there. I have seen conflicting opinions on this -- some say to add it anyway, some say don't.

After you change it, do some tight figure eights in a parking lot to work it in to the clutch plates. If it chatters or binds, I think that means you need more friction modifier.

Thanks Bert! I didn't do any tight turns but I will. I also hear a noise now when I am turning corners. Hard to explain...kind of a whiring <- not a werd

Try a few turns Glenn, hopefully that will stop the whining. It's worked before on an old Vette I owned.
