Rear defrost stopped working

I know there is a TSB for this, but it doesn't really say what the problem is...and I am out of warranty now (2005 GT).

Anyone else had this problem? If so, what could it be. The light on the button still lights up, but nothing was defrosting today on the back.

Thanks.

Mine quit working and then I noticed that one of the tabs had come off the grid. Exactly the same as you described - the button was lit but nothing was happening.

I fixed it by using a product I bought on line

It has held up fine.

I will have to have a look at them tomorrow. I hope it is just a quick fix like this....the internet tells me it is anyways.

Turns out a tab did fall off.

Took it to a glass shop today and they stuck it back on for me. Strange thing though, when it fell off, a little piece of glass came off with it.
