black, white and the reds will nearly always be at the top of the production list. mineral grey is another very popular color. if i had to list them in an order such as tom did, i'd say:

2.redfire
3.mineral grey
4.performance white
5.torchred
6.satin silver
7.screaming yellow
8.sonic blue
9.windveil blue
10.legend lime
1.black
2.redfire
3.mineral grey
4.performance white
5.torchred
6.satin silver
7.screaming yellow
8.sonic blue
9.windveil blue
10.legend lime

Thanks for the color stats from 99-04.
I am somewhat amazed that black is consistently at the top.
Black does look "bad", probably the reason I have owned 3 black cars.
But never again. They show dirt and water spots more than any other color. I just got tired of constantly washing my car to keep it it looking clean.
Although boring, whites, grays, and silvers are the best colors for hiding dirt.

I have seen a bunch of lime cars already. It fits the retro theme of the car.
I bet yellow will be low followed by sonic blue. the windveil blue fits the theme also.
the mineral gray sure is growing on me. THEY ALL JUST LOOK SO DAMM GOOD !
I just want one....I dont care what color it is.

I test drove a Windveil Blue GT and viewed up close and personel a Legend Lime yesterday. Pictures don't do justice for either color. They both look great in person. I also drove past a Torch Red with the red interior yesterday. I stopped and took a look. It aslo looked great. I thought for sure that would be too much red, but its not.
I like all the colors except white, silver, grey and black. I like the uniqueness and retro feel of the Windveil Blue and the Legend Lime.
I need to get my current car paid off and then I'll make the tough decision on what color.
Legend Lime will be the rarest color for 2005. It makes sense to me that Ford will replace that color with something else in 2006.

Probably W Blue and Legend Lime....
FWIW, any metallic grey and black have been popular on all cars and probably will be for a while...so these colors will be in the top 3 for the next couple of years

I love that Windveil Blue ... had intended to get the Black but saw the WV and its great. Seems to give the car an understated feel instead of that over the top in your face of the yellow or that mean look from the black. Not that i dont like those but its nice to be able to quietly run up on someone without them really noticing ... ie a police officer ... lol. I think you could probably put stripes and ground effects on this and still fly under the radar a bit.

with the popularity of yellow that past few years, i'm guessing it will be around in the middle. i'm guessing Legend Lime will be the most rare...followed by Windveil Blue.

I didn't know redfire was second in 2004. I thought it would be below torch, silver. Funny because I don't see as many of them as the torch, silver.

Does anyone know if the windveil blue is the same color they used on the mustangs back in the late 60's? I think it is from picture that I have seen but I think they called it by a different name back then? I can honestly say this color looks so awesome in person, the pictures absolutely do not do this color justice! I was going to get silver myself but I am thinking of windveil blue now especially if its the same color they used back then.

I think that disgusting lime should go and the blue is even more rare but the yellow looks to much like gold. This body style will look good in black with spoiler delete and torque thrust wheels. I wonder what 2000 "R" wheels would look like on the new car?

I think Black and the Reds will rule this years production... Leaving White, L. Lime, and S. Yellow at the bottom of the list.
Funny though, my preference when ordering went..
Mineral Grey... Windveil Blue... Screaming Yellow... Sonic Blue
(L.Lime, White, Silver, Black in the middle, and Redfire, Torch at the bottom)
If only they had that Azure Blue on this model
