So, I ordered my 06 redfire GT vert with 18" W's in July,. It was produced 10/24. Dealor checks into delivery, as they expected it by now. They are told that there are 'rail shortages' that are delaying deliveries. They now expect it to be possibly another week. (Chicagoland area)

Anyone else hear this one?

I've heard this, but my car had no issues at all getting a railcar immediately. Might be different for other areas of the country.

Well, this is a dead issue. My salesman called me 2 hours after the sales manager did, and said a transport just rolled in with my car on it. I'll have it in 2 hours!

Yup...just got the same news from my salesman.

Built week of 10/24

Estimated delivery week of 11/6 (last week)

Now, sitting in Michigan waiting on a rail car with no new ETA.

hey chris , hope yours goes quicker than mine did . My pony was built on 10/18 and it finally left Mich yesterday 11/13 . Sad thing is that i live about 6 hours from the plant in Wisc. I think its crazy that ford puts it on a truck to go to the rail yard, waits a month, puts it on a train for 4 hours to Ill. then unloads it and waits for another truck to deliver it to the dealership . No wonder it costs $700 for delivery :P
Thankfully my wait is almost over , just in time to store her for winter , they are talking snow later this week

At least I don't have to worry about winter storage.

But last week was perfect top down weather. This week a cold front is hitting and it's going to be rainy and cold. I expect that last week was the last good top down weather I'll see for a while.
