Now how's this for you guys - Pima County/City of Tucson Dept. of Transportation (of which I am loosely affiliated with) has a few webcams, one of which you can control and point right on the Union Pacific rail! So if you're tracking your railcar and your train is passing through Tucson, go to this site and see if you can spot your train!

http://www.dot.pima.gov/webcam/indexc.htm

You might have to reposition the camera - best instructions I can give you is scroll about 65% to the right and about 85% up, and the zoom about 75%. You're looking for this shot:

[attachmentid=36629]

If you're having trouble email me at chris.barnhill@pima.gov and I'll try to reposition the cam for you. There are other cams you can fool with here:

Any cam pointing north should get you in the general direction.
