Question for those with Cervini side exhaust

I have been looking into the ground clearance issues with the Cervini side exhaust by doing a lot of Google searches. I have 20" wheels, but with the low profile tires, they are more or less the same as the factory 17" wheels. I have the Eibach pro springs that lowered the car a little over an inch.

My main question is what part of the exhaust tends to rub on speedbumps, etc? Is the side pods or the exhaust pipes or both?

I really want to put these on my car, but where I work there are security ramps in the road that can be raised to stop unauthorized vehicles from entering the base. These are basically speed bumps that are long.

I have the cervini's kit on my 07 GT the mufflers are made by Pypes the part that rubs ar mainly the side exit tips. They sit a little lower ans curve upward slightly.
As for speed bumps, Forget it stay away. High curbs, 90* deg angle slowly and they will still scrape a little. But even still, I love the look and sound. Keep the Catted H pipr or it will be Way Too Loud.

Do you think there is any way to get those tips closer to the body, or maybe one would have to modify the under carriage in order to tuck them up, even 1/2" sounds like it would help.

Honestly. I just had my car up on a lift and changed the clamps to try and make them higher and tighter to the body. I got it as close as I could and am satisfied. If you get too close you will get a rumbling noise from the pipe flex under torque.
Just watch the speed bumps and curbs and you will be fine. Not to mention you will be different then most of the Stangs in your area.

I think I will go for it, but I have to wait for a retroactive check to arrive first. It is for 2 years back pay for a raise and should happen as soon as the contract is ratified. Should be about $10k or more so a Saleen supercharger is also on the list!!!

Most likely this will all be a winter project.

Yea, they are a bit more money, but from everything I have seen they are just an awesome engineered kit. I think the clean look alone is what I am drawn towards.

Vinyl. I wasn't sure if I would like it so went that route, now I will paint them on when I get enough dough.
