Question on springs and side exhaust

Okay, I am in the process of getting my Cervini side exhaust installed. I have the existing side moulding off the car and the new exhuast on. My car has Eibach pro springs in it. I have no problem on speed bumps because I modified the exhaust hangers to give some more ground clearance and also installed a taller profile tire.

Problem is at my work (naval base) we have a security speed bump that has a hydraulic operated sheild I have to drive over. I just slightly rub it in and out of work. Once the new side pods are on and the clamps holding the new exhaust tips on, it will rub more on the exhaust.

Like others on here with similar exhaust, I may have to install the factory springs back in. I hate to do this, the wheel to fender clearance right now is just perfect.

Question I have is, is there a spring out there in the market that has a better than stock handling performance output that has about 1/2" less drop? I need to make a change soon so please advise.

Steeda Sport Springs have less drop that the Eibach, how much exactly I can't say. I have them on my car, I can measure the ground clearance if you like

The ground clearance is really a combination of tire size and springs combined. I will look at the specs on Steeda sport springs and see what they say the drop is.

Thanks for the reply.

I can measure from the center of the hub to the top of the wheel arch, that should say the same regardless of wheel size

Yes it would, that would help. I just need a little more clearance in the rear. After looking at several springs on the net, I think Steeda is the one for me.

I don't have my car right now, it is getting a bunch of paint work done for the side exhaust kit, ducktail spoiler and more. Once I get it back in about a week, I will measure and post what mine is.

Thanks again.
