I am a salesman at the top Ford dealer in OK, and ordered a GT for my g/f a couple of months ago. My order has been BUCKED and shows SHIPPED CONVOY, but has been for about a week now, and the local transport company doesn't have it in their system yet. The guy I talked to said that they usually get info 2 or 3 days before the car arrives. The inventory guy at my other store said that there is a shortage of rail cars delaying shipment of 4000 cars. Anyone have any better info???

VIN # - 1ZVFT82H955108742

STATUS DATE - 10/29

DEALER ETA WEEK OF 11/8

Not trying to be too impatient, but I have special plans when the car arrives and our first 4 cars came as scheduled.

maybe they are using a different transport company ... you have an eta of this week .... so why not wait the rest of this week before you go crazy

I've heard of a shortage of railcars before, but Ford is a big shipper
and I doubt that the "shortage" will last with a big customer involved
like an auto plant. You still have a couple days.
