I am planning on buying a 05 Gt but I had a few questions....

1. What will I save on the Z Plan
2. I Heard that you need to order now because that may stop production on the Red Accent Package
3. I priced it on the ford website and it said MSRP will be about $27,000 is that what I should expect to pay at the dealer.
4. I thought about waiting till the 06s come out and then buy an 05. Is there anything wrong with waiting or would it be better to buy now so I can get what I want.

Thanks for all your help!!

1 - See the stickies at the top of the forum for information on the plans. I'm pretty sure it is in the FAQ.

2 - The ICAP package will remain available as long as Ford has the necessary pieces for it. It might become TEMPORARILY unavailable if there is a shortage of parts.

3 - If you have Z plan you should get a beter price, I think. Again, visit the FAQ sticky or do a search for specifics. It has been posted a bunch of times.

4 - The downside to waiting until the '06's are out is that, your '05 choice will be limited to stock on hand at dealerships. If they do not have the exact color/options you want, you'll have to compromise on some things.

The upside of course, is you be able to cut a better deal then, when the '05's are considered old stock that's gotta be moved out.

You've been posting for a while, but haven't seen your name before, so welcome! Post us some pics of your '66!

I've checked pretty well all over north Alabama. Around here, I can't find a dealer that will accept Z plan on any in-stock 05's.

However, the dealer in Huntsville will accept Z plan if I order one.

Decisions decisions...

You order it, you get EXACTLY what you want AND at a better price. Up to you whether that is worth the wait or not. It is for me.

$27,000 MSRP = around $24,000 Z-plan.

If you wait, may as well go for an 06.

Got mine on Z

Originally around 29k...with Z it came down to about 24.5k (without taxes/title/etc)

ok...if the question is asked many times then why are you asking it again? as far as your #3 question... if you have z-plan then that is what you would expect to pay at a dealer.
