Question for all those who powdercoated their cam covers

Did anyone replace the little green plug inside the passenger side cam cover after powdercoating? I was wondering if this should be sealed up with RTV or something.

They guy who did mine was concerned about this, but ended up doing nothing to protect it. I withstood the 450 degree heat of the powder coating with no issues.
