question about order form

on the order confirmation theres a FDAF Assessment for $420

wtf is it? legit?

Yes. It's legit.
It's the Ford Dealer Advertising Fee.
It's a "pool" all dealers contribute to in order to pay for all the ads Ford runs.

No way around it that I know of. It is assessed on every new car Ford sells.

FDAF is a regional advertising fund to pay for regional advertising. All new vehicles are assessed this [the amount varies by type of vehicle]. The ONLY exceptions to this are Government orders and major fleet orders. It is even assessed on A & D plan orders [yes even I have to pay the FDAF].
