I don't want to start a war or anything, and I haven't really been able to find this answer. I've read what Grantsdale posted in another topic, but I don't understand so thats why I'm asking.

Does the allocation system allocate more to the southern states in the winter months and then when spring rolls around the northern states get more of their allocations?

The reason I ask is that I have driven around Ford dealerships in the past week and see maybe one or two V6's and no GT's. I've talked to some of them about how many GT's they've sold and they've all said about 3 or 4. I've seen maybe 2 Mustangs driving around in the past three months and I drive around alot. I've also looked at their online inventories and they don't have hardly any.

Any info on this would be great

My observations here in sourthern Ohio are the same. I have seen two GT's on the road, and several V6's. There are a couple dealers with a GT on the lot, but most do not have any GTs. Its just not fair

Well in the Winter more of the mustangs head south due to the fact that these dealers have typically ordered mustang's in the winter months while the Northern Dealers have not.

The allocation is based on last years orders, however the dealers can earn additional allocation by selling all of the model that they have in stock. Unfortunitly, there are not many mustang sold in Minneasota during the winter so the allocaiton was miniminal. Since the GT are a commodity with a available around 30% that means that each dealer should get about 2 V6's for every 1 GT.

A number of the Dealer in the area have already sold out there GT allocation for the rest of the year, so any GT that comes in is already sold and most likely has been on order waiting for the allocation. Although this system has it flaws especially when a new "hot" model is released it is the method that has been used for quite sometime. A number of the dealer in the area only get 1 or 2 mustangs a week and with the GT allocation that is only 1-3 GT's per month per dealer.

Last year the dealer in the Northern area's didn't want any Mustang's in the winter since they knew they couldn't sell them, which is partially to blame for the lack of Mustang's this year in the Northern area's

Ok, I guess that means all I can do is wait until June to see if any of them have any unsold.

With so many being built, they have to be running all over the place down south.

From what I've heard the cup runeth over in states like Texas & Florida were they are actually getting some surplus on the lots (mostly V6's).

I know up here in Washington/Oregon I've seen a grand total of 7 Mustangs and only 1 of those was a GT. There are none on the lots ANYWHERE and there appear to be only about 3 or 4 driving around that aren't being test driven.

Mustangs a very rare commodity out here in the Northwest.

Well I live in central florida and I still can't find an 05 GT on a lot that I like. Our local dealer gets in about 7 GTs a week, but they sell within 2-3 hours of hitting the lot. There are about 2000 V6s around though.

I haven't seen a single sonic blue GT on a lot yet. I have seen a couple of every other color, including WVB.

I just got done talking to my dealership about their allocations and my spot in line. Apparently I'm #3 inline for an 05 Mustang (V6) and they expect it to take about 2 months for my car to get pulled and producded then of course 3 weeks for delivery.

Apparently McKenzie has like 2 allocations per cycle based on those especially since I'm just getting a V6 and not a GT. I've only heard GTer's talk about a 2 month wait with 2 to 3 people infront of them.

When I was in Houston, TX, I saw 2 GTs and 3 V6 in 4 days. Up here in Cleveland I've seen 3 V6s and 0 GTs in 5 months. The only GT I've seen up here is mine.

Seven per week! I don't think there have been 7 GTs on all of the lots (like 10 of them) combined in KC in the last month.

Up here in Wisconsin, there were only a couple GT's that have been on the lots. Mostly V6 models. The dealer I ordered my GT from sold something like 5 V6 models in the last two weeks, and in some cases at a good deal, so they can earn some GT's. My GT is 10th on the list, and supposedly, they are supposed to start opening the flood gates. I hope so.
