Putting GT on service lift
I noticed GT the lower rocker panel facia is plastic and appears to extend over the frame where a lift pad would be placed to raise the care. I am talking about the type of lift you would see in a service garage or a tire dealer. Is there any precautions one should take as not to damage the facia or worse case crack it? Any of you service techs out there have an answer? I don't want to take my pride in joy down to the local tire dealer for tire rotation and have them screw my car up! My thanks for your reply in advance
yeah there should be a little flat round/straight piece of steel near each wheel well. You can safely raise the car up on that without any harm. I myself have not looked under Nancy (mustang) to know. It's very obvious though. Hope this helps.

The Mustang can be racked the same way as any other car, so anybody who isn't an idiot should be able to do it without damage. But, who can you trust?
The car does not have to be raised by the very edge of the "frame." Here is a pic of where the lift should be positioned. Oh, and make sure they have rubber pads on the lift to prevent scratches. I believe the rear box I have drawn is showing the rear jack point. I may be wrong.
Obviously this picture is from the BMR site showing their sub-frame connectors.
