Have been hearing for almost a month now from the ERL that my Lime GT Convertible has "as of May 9th, been produced".

However there has been no word on shipping status, delivery, etc. Dealer (Sunset Ford in St. Louis who has been great) does not know anything beyond what the ERL says.

Is anybody else waiting like this for a w/of 5/2 produced convertible.

Just venting.....

Mine was produced May 26th and ERL remained the same until this morning. She finally has said that it was shipped via convoy. I ordered from Beuckman Ford in St. Louis, so I would expect yours to be rolling soon. I know there was another rail car shortage and not many mustangs (let alone GTs) are being shipped to St. Louis, so that may be contributing to the problem.

I heard there was a huge fire at the St. Louis rail yard. Anybody else hear that too?

Mine was built april 4th, and I am still waiting. A combo of a quality hold, rail car shortange, and incompetence (originally shipped wrong) had me waiting. It is due to arrive at the ramp any day now.

Hang in there.

How did you order out of Texas and get it shipped here? Did you do that to get around the allocation limits in our area?

I hope it comes in soon. The wait is killing me. Hopefully ours will show up together. As of last night ERL was saying shipped via convoy on June 5th.

I had no idea about how the allocations worked until after I ordered. The only reason I ordered out of Texas is because I got the car $2500 under MSRP. I also had a 2004 RX8 I needed to get rid of and I was offered $19K by the dealers in St. Louis. I sold it privately for $22,500..

The plant produces about 1000 Mustangs per day, and there just aren't enough rail cars to ship them. Yours is probably in one of these photos taken June 4...

Sonic V8 - did you order a while ago? I ordered in January and I was just wondering if you had better luck ordering from Texas.

I ordered Feb. 2nd.. Not to long after yours.. My luck was saving more money and still have the car dropped shipped. That extra $2k could come in handy for mods..

Luckily I was Z-plan and didn't have to haggle for a price drop.
