Problems with 05 Vert?
#1
Hey, I visited the Great Lakes Ford dealer in Muskegon, MI a couple of hours ago to see the new Mustang. They sold it, so I decided to ask the salesma about the Vert. He told me that it is currently not offical because the convertible has not been meeting government standards. Roll-over protection, I think he said it was. Has anyone heard of something like this?

same chassis so i would guess it would not be an issue. also the more weight towards bottom of car less chance of rollover.
when i first saw car at auto show in jan 04 i asked rep about structural integrity of vert and he said car was designed as vert originally and hardtop added afterwards

Dealers will say anything to make their current inventory look or sound more appealing to you. They want to move cars out of their lot, not push cars they don't have yet.

It will tell you where that dealer's mindset is.
If I ran a Ford dealer I would not knock 1 nickel off of MSRP on '05 Stangs until ALL of my '04s were gone.
