I had a DORA with a priority 10 noted on it dated 11-22-04 and had a build date of week of 1-24-05. Today I received another DORA process date of 12-8-04 that shows a priority of 01. Did I get the shaft or the gold mine.

 

01 is better than 10, if i remember correctly. It's usually reserved for stock orders though.

 

What did you order IntimidatorGT? Looks like your dealer bumped you up a bit. 01, if I am correct, is a Ford reserved priority, but I am really not sure. It is better that Priority 10, which I was. Good Luck to you

 

01 is reserved for use by the factory, usually for fast tracking a car because of some sort of unfortunate circumstances. It's definitely a good thing!

I just dont understand. I had my order placed and DORA received 11-19. so far nothing. why does ford not process these in the order received? how come an order placed almost a week later is built before another car? I dont have a build date or anything and with the hold ups, have absolutely no idea when to even possibly expect the car.

Sam....it all depends on your dealers allocations. If they don't have any, you get stucking waiting until they receive some. You need to ask your dealer if he has any. Good luck

 

Yup, 01 priority is a good, good thing. The Ford Regional office assigns an 01 to make sure an order gets pulled. Your dealer must have put some effort into accomplishing this.
Actually, after re-reading your post, I am a little concerned. If your order was already scheduled to be built in Jan. you should not need a new priority code. The 01 is only used to get a car scheduled. I would investigate this and find out if your order has been bumped.
