It depends on the dealership, but normally Priority 10 is the highest you can go, but Priority 10 at one dealership may not be the same as Priority 10 at another dealership.

27 isn't too bad.

Dealers can assign order priority with 10-49. Anything above 40 generaly tells Ford to bulid it when they get around to it.

1 You can assign the same priority code to more than one unit.
2 You can change a priority code by submitting an alteration transaction.
3 Your assigned priority code must fall within the ranges shown.
4 Your priorities do not affect any other dealer.
5 The priorities assigned within one vehicle line do not affect your other vehicle lines.

Code 99 = Do Not Schedule--the unit will not be scheduled until you change the code.

Hope this helps.

With a number that high, I think I would ask the dealer how many orders they actually have in front of you. Armed with that info, you can decide to stay or order somewhere else.

Being 1st in line was pretty important to me once I "pulled the trigger".

I believe that the number 7 in 27 means that there are 6 more orders ahead of you at that dealership, and you are number 7.

When I ordered my car back in October 2004 I was told 'I would have the car 6 weeks', and when I looked at my paperwork I noticed my order was a Priority-20. I got the car in December after a wait of 9 weeks, but my car was delayed for parts shortages (spoiler and poss IUP).

Before I could ask my dealer about number of orders ahead of mine he came out and told me 'one order is ahead of yours and is already being built'

Your best bet is to ask the dealer about the Priority number and see if they can give you a better number.

I was assigned "10" and it took 5.5 weeks. But once the Stang left the assembly line, it arrived the next day since I'm minutes away from Flat Rock.

I think you can go ahead and ask your salesperson for the VIN # at this point. Don't try using the VIN with the ERL, because you'll be SOL trying to make the ERL understand you. The VIN would just be for your records so you can check to see if the actual car that arrives is the same as the one you tracked in the system.

We have ordered Fords for the past 25 years. They generally take 1.5-2.5 months depending on where you lived in relation to the final assembly facility. It just so happens I'm like 20 minutes from Flat Rock, so the delivery time was cut down to about 1 day. Otherwise it would have probably taken 6-7 weeks.

It also depends on what you order and if there is a product hold for that option. I tend to go with the bare minimums since I'm not fond of leather, large wheels, chrome, etc... My GT is a stripper GT Deluxe Coupe with the base interior (non-IUP) and standard wheels, so they probably had no problems slapping that order together.

The important thing is that you get the car!

+ a million on that one. Since you called and are in the VIN step already I don't think it matters that you are priority 27. When I ordered my 06 V6 I was priority 12 and now with my latest order I am 10. Though I really don't want it to come in until mid to end of March. I need more time to save up & don't want to drive her un waxed with the potential for it to still snow.

I ordered on Jan. 17 and have a priority 10. No VIN assigned yet, or so my salesman told me this morning. Can someone provide the phone number for the ERL, and explain how to use it? I'm sure this is on the forums somewhere but I can't find it -- an explanation of ERL or a link to the right place on the forum would be appreciated.

on your VOC upper right corner is a dealer number its the last 5 digits. then you need your order number and the body style is T85 for conv. or T82 for coupe. the number is 1800 962 3746 just follow the instructions .
