I just got off the phone with my dealer... I thought he was blowing smoke up my butt until I just saw it for myself on an updated copy of my order receipt he faxed me...

He told me that my order has been moved from a Priority 10 (which is what most everyone seems to have) to a Priority 2. This should equate to faster processing of my order. :scratch: Right? Someone correct me if I am wrong.

His reasoning is that their dealership is one of the highest volume selling dealers in the Midwest. Because of this, as a reward, Ford has given their dealership one extra allotment for a Mustang. Kind of like the first two Mustangs that are being sent to all dealers for them to put on showrooms. My dealer said that this resulted in my order being upgraded only. Apparently none of his other orders were upgraded.

I am still raising an eyebrow to this a little, but like I said, the order receipt with my customer name at the bottom now reads *PRIORITY 02 at the top.

 

Priority 1 thru 9 are reserved for Ford's use. They can use these to process an emergency order (ie. your car gets wrecked in transit and needs to be replaced) and can also be used for other special allocation issues(dealer rewards, PO'd customers, etc. This doesn't happen often. Sounds like it is your lucky day. Congrats!!
