Sorry it took so long but I finally found something in writing that show price protection is available. I found it on the dealer website. Hope it's not to late for anyone.

Thanks for the info Paul.
I only have a DORA. Nothing signed. Can the dealer try and pull a fast one?
I ordered 12/28.

Dealers are capable of trying anything but the signed order rule is more dealer vs. factory. If the factory disputes the price protection refund, the dealer will need to provide a copy of the signed buyers order. They very rarely dispute it. Only time I've seen it is when we place the order in a customers name but maybe it gets reported sold in their business name or something odd like that. If the names don't match between order and sale report if throws up a red flag.
Karpro would you mind?
I have a VOC with my last name under cust/flt, it's not signed but he had me sign another that he has. Of course this is order type: X Price Level 540 (which i understand is x-plan) and x-plan is protected anyway (I think) does this sound right?
Also, What happen's if the order dosen't get pulled for this model year, is price protected into next model year?
Thanks for all the time you take answering questions

The problem you end up having with your dealer is that all the paperwork they get, including the invoice, will have the higher pricing. The will want to show you the invoice with the current x-plan price and tell you thats what you have to pay. I wouldn't worry about the signature, that is more important between the dealer and the factory.
If the order doesn't get pulled by the end of the year it just gets cancelled and you start all over as a fresh order. You will get no special priority from Ford, so if this is going to happen you may want to make arrangements with your dealer.

Karpro, thanks for the info. It was two weeks ago today we spoke on the phone about this and I've had some time to cool down. It's been great having the car but I'm still PO'd about them jacking the price on us. We've been waiting for our customer survey to get here, we already have the letter typed that's going back with it. We've already gotten a letter from the dealership wanting to make sure we contact their customer service manager if we have any negative replys on the survey. Nah, I think we are done talking to them.
For those who don't recall the thread, the dealer added $277 to the car when we picked it up. The money doesn't matter, the principal does. They also gave us the "we would suggest you not go through with the purchase if you are going to be unhappy with it". Yea, whatever slick. You aren't keeping this GT. I have been waiting to see if you found the info before I went to Ford with our complaint. We were serialized in mid December.
One funny thing when we were buying the car. They had a GT sitting in the middle of the showroom with plastic chains around it so you couldn't get close. I had been asking a salesman about it and he said the current bid for the car was around 290K. As we are doing the deal I look at the car and said "I find it amusing we are about 10 feet from what could be sold right now for a 150K profit and you find it necessary to F with us for $277".
Thanks for the info Karpro, time to sound the bell for round 2.
