After studying the price sheet, I have some questions...

1. What good is the Premium array? The only difference between the Deluxe and Premium arrays is the leather seats and the Shaker 500 stereo. Assuming you want both, the Premium array is only $25 less than a Deluxe with both options added. Big deal. If you want the Shaker 1000 upgrade, the Premium is actually $165 MORE than the Deluxe with the same features!

2. Assuming you want the IUP and leather (which I do), I can get the IUP and Dark Charcoal leather for $1145. If I am reading it correctly, I can get the IUP and the Color Accent Package (red leather) for only $625! Am I wrong, or did Ford omit the leather requirement (trim K) before you can get the CAP?

3. The only difference between the Shaker 500 and 1000 is an amp and dual 10" woofers in the trunk, (plus the mysterious missing 9th speaker), but the 1000 is $1105 more than the 500 (Deluxe) or $1295 more (Premium)!! You can get an entire system aftermarket for $1300. I know, I've shopped for one. I was ready to go with the 1000 because it is designed by Ford for this car, but adding an amp and woofers to a 500 is lots cheaper aftermarket. Any chance the Shaker 500 will be designed to be difficult to add to?

Not complaining, just confused! What a car!

1. Yes, I noticed the same pricing differences. It is very wierd. It would be nice if someone would explain.

2. From the latest Order Guide...

INTERIOR COLOR ACCENT PACKAGE (68R)
NOTE: Requires 18G Interior Upgrade Pkg. and KR Interior Trim Code
Going by this, yes you need to pay for the Trim K to get the ICAP.

3. The price thing is confusing and yeah, where is that 9th Speaker? Anyone?

Thanks Clan. I'm only studying half of the resources at my disposal. I had the order guide and should have noticed the leather requirement for the CAP. The rest is still confusing though. I can't wait for SEMA!!!!!!!

Maybe the 9th speaker is hidden in the dash? My sister's ex-boyfriend has a car that has two speakers that are hidden in the dash and it came like that from the factory. I can't remember what the car is though.

I agree that the upgrade to the shaker 1000 from the 500 is expensive for an amp and 3 speakers...BUT it is still entirely possibly to spend this and more on aftermarket as well. I'll stick with it for the convienience of being factory installed.

It definately seems if you want leather and shaker 1000, you should just add it to the deluxe. I wondered about that even before pricing came out.
