Is this BS? I am talking to several area Ford dealers about ordering an '05, seeing where I can get the best deal. One of the salesmen e-mailed me yesterday, saying a factory rep came into his showroom yesterday and told him that after the first of the year, it looks like there will be a $300 to $400 in the Mustang MSRP...

He said I can avoid the increase by ordering before the holidays. Is this BS just to get me to order now, or a possibility?

dos the price increas effect those of us that ordered before on x-plan and are waiting for the car?
Will we have to pay the new invoice prices or what is on the DORA?

I wouldn't be concerned about it in the first place... If you're paying MSRP, and you can't talk the sales guy outta the additional $400.... that equates to less than $10 a month on your payments. Drink one less sodie pop a day, and you'll never notice.

As far as X-plan goes.... I'm in the same boat. I don't know if the price increase is in the dealer invoice or just in the MSRP... but it's not going to affect my decision to buy the car or not... If it was a $2000 increase, I'd still buy it.

Wait.... don't let them know I said that.

The price increase will effect the MSRP, the invoice and A/Z/D/X plans. If you ordered prior your dealer is price protected and this protection should be passed on to you.
