Probably most of you are smarter than me and already noticed this, but if you want the Shaker 1000, it is cheaper to order:

a GT Deluxe with optional leather seats and Shaker 1000

vs.

a GT Premium with optional Shaker 1000

Don't have the numbers in front of me, but I crunched them last night when I noticed the only differences between the GT Deluxe and Premium were the leather seats and Shaker 500.

I actually didn't want the Shaker due to all the reported problems, I'll end up going aftermarket anyway. I ordered the deluxe with the ICAP (red leather) and ended up saving some $$$ Now we'll just have to see if it actually shows up built that way and at that price.

GT premium is just the leather seats and the Shaker 500. GT deluxe is standard so if you wanted leather you would add that as well as the Shaker 1000. So yes, you would HAVE to get the GT deluxe.

I did the same, less the shaker system. I figured I could get a pretty great system installed with that little extra markup for the shaker. I have the deluxe with all the options less the shaker and ICAP and I paid about $28000 out the door.

Your last sentence doesn't make sense to me.

Also, since you ordered the Shaker 1000 (looking at your signature), why did you get a GT Premium? That was the whole point of my post...if you are ordering the Shaker 1000, you should order a GT Deluxe, not Premium.

I'm not sure what the price difference is...not worth my time doing the math, as I didn't pay retail...but i assume that maybe if it's only a "few" dollars that it is still worth it to say that you have premium.

I'm confused by this thread.... If you go through the pricing process on Ford.com the following is true.

Deluxe: Comes with the base stereo with an option to purchased either Shaker 500 or 1000

Premium: Comes with a base Shaker 500 with option to purchase the 1000 and of course leather.

From what I've read in this thread people are saying you have to get one or the other to get the Shaker 1000. Either I'm mis-reading the thread or Ford's on web site is on crack.

Edit: Re-read the thread and I guess it's too early in the morning. Dis-reguard me

Yes it is. I saved $174 by getting a fully loaded GT Deluxe versus a GT Premium. It doesn't make any sense at all, but it was confirmed by my salesman.

All I can say is WOW. Your time must be freaking valuable, because you could save nearly two hundred dollars by spending about 4 minutes doing 3rd grade math.

Thanx for the number, racerx.

I'm not going to be paying retail either (in fact, I've got Z plan, so I'm paying just about the least of anyone), but $174 is definitely worth it to me to order the Deluxe instead of the Premium. I tend to be a thrifty dude, which is why I'm also going to get aftermarket wheel locks for $10 instead of paying $50 from Ford.

If you want to pay more money for a Premium, that's your deal.

I think difference was noted when pricing was first released. Doesn't make much sense but more power to the people who notice and take advantage of it.

It is funny that the fully loaded Deluxe is $174 less than the loaded Premium......but for the little x-tra I want the GT 140A pkg. (I think that's what the # is). Just pure speculation on future collectability #'s....but this pkg. # might be the one that's preferred (and maybe not at all), but the $174 is pocket change for me that i could blow in a weekend at the beach anyway.....

The rude comments are not needed. you obviously didn't read my post correctly. I KNOW it is cheaper to get the deluxe and add the leather and shaker 1000 than to just get the premium. I've read the previous thread about it. I was just saying that I was not going to waste my time doing the math to find out the exact amount!!! 1) I already have my car so it's a moot point! 2) I ordered before the price list came out. 3) I paid $300 UNDER invoice so haggling with the dealer over another $160 is NOT worth it to me. I already paid MUCH less than most people. and 4) I like knowing that I have the premium 140A package and I can say so at reasle time. so if i had to do it again i still might order the premium.
