If that's the case then every Shelby GT owner will have to worry about their emblems being stolen too.

 

I think these emblems look really cool.....but for that price I dont think so.
For the "purist", since they are only supposed to be on a Shelby GT, isnt it the same as putting Cobra emblems on a non-Cobra car?
Anyway, its a mustang.......what else would it be "powered by"?????

I guess to the hard core "purist" that is true however my thinking is that if I put a PBF badge on my car I am not trying to pass it off as anything it is not. I am not putting "SHELBY GT" on the side and as you pointed out it is in fact powered by Ford.

I don't really have any problem with a Cobra badge either since Ford is selling the faux gas cap with the Cobra only. And Ford is not making a Cobra so what's the big deal? In fact anyone with a GT350 stripe isn't doing any harm either because everyone knows there is no '05-'07 Shelby GT350 and those who don't know probably don't care.

 

My thought exactly Kelly. I have the GT 350 Stripe the PBF emblems and a custom one off fake gas cap. Picture below. I am making a "what I wish Ford had made" car. Retro styling with the new flare. Not trying to be anything but unique!

 

Honestly, I do not have a bad opinion of individuals who put whatever they want to on their vehicle to make it their own.
I have just read many threads in the past where it is an issue.....and just wanted to see what people would say.
If I could have found some for a good price I was considering putting those emblems on my ride.

Got mine this morning, now I need to get my cam covers painted or powder coated. I'm putting them there instead of on the outside. At least that's the plan for now, we'll see if I go through with it.

 

OK, after much deliberation, I decided that I still wanted the GT.
For awhile, I was thinking of selling mine also.
Then I came up with this offset placement.
Tape is now removed, I guess I'll live with it...

What do you think ?

 

I think it would look better on your car if the emblem was centered under the GT emblem, other than that it looks good.

 

I like the different look its unique to your car and that's what counts!
