Seems to be a good look, especially since your rocker stripes are the same style as the Shelby GT and your LeMans stripes are also silver (like the Shelby GT).

My car is not going to have any stripes or spoilers ever, just the GT500 nose. I think I am kinda diggin' the real AC 289 Badges in metal over the plastic ones

What's This One?

I'm totally confused with what is the real deal item now. This link claims these are real metal which I'd much rather have than plastic but the dimensions are slightly smaller. How does this product compare with the ones you guys have bought? Which one is the actual badge that appears on new Shelby's? http://www.partscheap.com/scottdrake05.htm
On another note, I see the last pair on eBay from Blueoval is over $160!

The Scott Drake ones are the metal repros that I want. I don't dislike the new ones, they just seem a little too shiny for my 'theme' this time around. I'm not even doing anything in the interior other then my little eject button. I want to be on the down-low and have it be so subtle that only Ford people know what its from. The GT badge is'nt even all that bad to start with. Its hard to make a Mustang look bad(and no, dont post the Halibrand pics-I've seen bad plenty of times). I like the one on the B-pillar too.

Sounded like a good deal initially, but if these things are now going for $150 and more I would be scared to put them on my car and have them stolen, and possibly have some damage done by someone in a hurry to rip them out.

Funny enough, if they make it to the dealer they will be $10-12 like any other fender badge.

But if they don't, they will be worth millions. (do I really need to add a jester here?)

I figure its just a matter of time before some over seas sweat shop starts hammering out knock offs to sell to the masses.

Yes, sweatshops versus the special plastic emblem making machines here in the US-push a button and thousands spit out. Watch 'how its made' on the science channel sometime....They can't possibly cost more then $4-$5 each.

Ahhh yes I had forgotten all about the US push button machines that can spit out 10,000 at a time. Your right! I was just being silly but the truth is someone will be making them before too long that's for sure.
