is there any reason the tb could not withstand the heat from curring the powdercoat?

That would look great, but I'm right with you on the "I don't know if..." part of your question. If it can, I have plenty of extra Reflective Chrome powder to coat most of my engine. Kevin with Morris Powder Coating has done this. He is also the one doing all our cam covers. Great guy, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind you contacting him about the TB. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?ac...ODE=4&MID=10152

Thanks for the props Sandyman, it really means a lot to me and Kevin. But Kevin has been doing the throttle body spacer, which is just a chunk of aluminum. I'm not sure about cooking the throttle body, since it has rubber gaskets in it, but Kevin (MorrisPowderCoating) would be the one to ask.

If powdercoating isn't an option, you can always go back to paint.
