Doug...I see that you have multi-car, so is the $649 for both cars over the 6 months, or just the Mustang? B) I am 48 (single)...1 car (Mustang GT)...no tickets/accidents and have the same limits and deductibles across the board as you do. Mine is $557 for 6 months. I will be getting married in the next few months, and then I will pick up a multi-car discount.....plus I am probably going to either juggle my coverage limits a little, or shop around for possibly better rates. It's a personal friend that insures me, and he placed me in the Ultra-Preferred with Farmers......

Doug.... My insurance went up just under $400 per year with the GT, and I was driving a '02 fully loaded Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 prior to that. B) I don't personally believe/take stock in some of the people that claim their rates have gone down, and such....... The only way this is gonna happen is if they are under-insured (limits)...or dropped the collision or underinsured portion... or just plain have ridiculously high deductibles (1,000 or more). I have not had a ticket/accident in 32 years driving, and it's too bad that auto insurance isn't as reasonable as homeowners coverage.....

Its got ALOT to do with where you live. I live in SC and have basically the same coverage as you do. I am covering 1 vehicle, single, no tickets with Travelers for 730.00 a year. I was previously covering a 2000 Mustang V6 for a little over 800.00 a year, so my insurance did go down for a brand new vehicle.

Doug you may want to get quotes from Travelers and Liberty Mutual. I purchase my insurance directly from Travelers with no local agent.

I match your statistics except that I am 35 and live in Atlanta. I also have my homeowners insurance with the same company and no tickets in 5 years. I am paying about $700 every six months for the 2005 Mustang.

Mine is probably higher due to living in Atlanta.

I live in Atlanta, the price is just for the Mustang (not combined) and , yes, My homeowners ins. is with them as well...I'll try travelers and see what they can do. I think they have me down for annual mileage of 12,000 a year, which is about right for me.

About the same stats as above except we live in West Palm Beach, FL...home of the newly wed and nearly dead! $961/6 months. What was funny is that we moved up here (20 miles) a year ago from Boynton Beach and the rates jumped up just because of the city we live in. It's all a scam anyways!

$800 every 6 months. Perfect driving record.

It's so high because we are in the suburbs outside of Detroit.... All of the ghetto rats love to come out from the city and steal cars........

Plus the weather, snowy winters always jack up the rates.

Probably a lot!

I'm paying about 2800 a year now at 24 in PA with perfect record. I would think NJ will be a higher crime rate area correct? All I know is I parked my car in the garage for the winter today .....

State of Washington has high rates. I am with farmers Ultra-preferred through a personal friend agent, and have a $557 6 month rate full coverage. I shopped today through Geico and Nationwide for the same limits, and after the quotes, I know I have good rates already. Geico was $1145 for 6 months....and Nationwide was $1033 for 6 months. The rates are really dependent on the State you reside and other factors......so alot of the comparisons is like Apples and Oranges. I have a flawless driving record without any tickets/accidents in 32 years, so I am happy with what I've got now that I've shopped a little bit.
