So I have noticed this popping/klunking noise on my car the last few days whenever I hit a bump. Had planned on making a service call but didn't think a lot about it. I go to wash the car today and there is the S**T all along the passenger side rockers. WTF? I seriously at first thought it was poop or something but as I tried to clean it off I could tell it was grease. Its really bad everywhere.

Any ideas what it is? I think that either its a torn boot on my shock or something similar. That or when I took my car in for 10K service a couple weeks back they F'D something up.

Your best bet would be to take it in and have it looked at.

Anyone think the Steeda steel strut tower bar could be blamed by the dealer as the cause of failure?

Well the dealer basically cannot identify the source of the grease they says its all dried up now? Anyway they are blaming the popping noise on a strut cap that will be replaced tommorrow.

Dealer said it was this. Can't explain grease  but at at least the popping is gone.
