What does the pony dot matrix do? It is located on the windshield by the rear view mirror.

It's supposed to darken the glass because there's no visor there

I would prefer old-school tinted glass at the top of the windshield instead. Now if Ford would offer THAT in MyColor and add it to the IUP...

Man, whatever happened to the dark coke bottle green strip along the top of auto glass. I never thought about it before this, kinda just slipped away into history like 92 octane premium gas in California.
