Another idea would be to paint them with a red high temp paint (for me anyway- to match my MMR intake). How hard is it to take the covers off?

Thanks Guys.........Ian, the covers come off very easily. On the pass side I removed the battery tray for ease, coil plugs, and move wiring up out of way. Driver side , similiar with addition of removing intake box and dip stick. These are a Breeze compared to SN-95 cars.

I make cast aluminum cam/valve covers for the SOHC....So went ahead and polished up my 05 covers. It would be something you could send in and I will polish, and send back UPS . I looked into plating but most processes will not work with the combination of metals ,Magnesium/steel. At this point a good hi temp clearcoat would be the most practical coating. What a difference.! I'll work up some prices in a day or so if the'res interest.
I'm interested.....how could we do an exchange if possible?

Valve Covers look amazing, but I HATE how Ford routes their wiring.

I agree.........I suppose from a cost and assembly standpoint it's fine but better planning and a few more bucks spent would make a major appearance diff. :notnice:

I have yet to see a member re-route or clean up their wiring. Thought it'd be a poplar project?

Yeah thats a good idea but where to start? I agree I think Ford messed up with our engines. The pre-production pics of the engine looked so dang beautiful with the cool pony intake runner cover and no wiring or other crap covering it up. Then you get it home and look under the hood and ask who the heck stole my intake cover and covered my engine up with all this junk? Why couldnt they make it look pretty like the vette or caddy engines look? I mean 300 ponies deserves more effort than that!!

bullittman So could we work something out like: Send you $600.00, you send us polished covers, we swap ours out, send you our dull covers, you refund us $400.00 ? Sound right?

Kevin,
Can you tell me what size is that decal? That might look pretty sweet on my new engine cover.
