Plenum cover color?

I got a plenum cover extension from Mustangs Unlimited, but unfortunately the paint doesn't match the factory cover. Even though it is a painted part, they say I'll need to paint to match. By any chance is there a Dupli-color paint or other inexpensive spray can paint that would match the OEM plenum cover?

I made this same inquiry about 3 years ago with no luck. Maybe somebody has figured it out since then. here's a photo that clearly shows the color difference. I wasn't happy with the mis-match so I removed the extension and it's still in the original box collecting dust. Too bad because it could be a nice addition to the engine bay.

Its a good opportunity to paint both of them any color you'd want. A very popular thing to do right now is hydrographics.

I have it on mine too, but my color isn't that far off. This is the only picture I have on the computer right now and it's not a close up but I think you would still be able to tell in this pic if it was that far off. Maybe different manufacturers

That is exactly my situation (even to the Ford Racing tower brace) and that is what the color looks like under artificial light in the garage. I did pull it out into the sunlight, and the color is much closer. The difference is barely noticeable under natural light. It sort of looks like the OEM plenum cover is pretty close to Vapor Silver, but I don't see that available in a small spray can anywhere so far.

You could consider just possibly painting it a nice satin black and you would be all done and looking very sharp too? "RC"

You can get Vapor Silver here, or any other color. Got some Grabber Blue and it was a perfect match.
