I ordered 3 weeks ago and my dealer tells me that my DORA is still not available. I have this paper that says 'order confirmation' Is this this my DORA and the sales guy doesn't even know it? Is the DORA avail as soon as the order is placed, or not until it's pulled by Ford? I'm going to try to post a pic. Please advise me.
Thanks,
John

That's not the DORA. And if I remember correctly from other posts priority 99 is the lowest priority. I am not a ford salesman though. Sorry man.

this looks like what is sent by the dealer to ford. your dora is the confirmation you get back from ford and looks a little different.

this was given to me immediately from dealer. dora was given to me a day or two afterwards.

Huh, I thought all the order confirmations listed the invoice price, I guess they can hide that info from ya. Whats the $27,246 all about that is circled?

i just noticed the priority 99 is the lowest. if you wanted a high priority i highly suggest speaking to them and finding another dealer!!!!

Something is deffinitely wrong there.
99 is what they use when they just want to see if they can order it it that way or when they are just holding on to your order when you're not sure you're going to buy it.
Once he REALLY orders your car, Ford will send him a DORA the NEXT day.
Mine says DEALER ORDER RECEIPT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT at the very top.
If you're still having problems, and they have a toll free #, give it to me, I'll call them. I HATE crooked dealers.

Depends on what the taxes, etc are where you live.
Looks a little high to me. (unless you have a trade-in they're going to give you a good deal on)

What incentive does the dealer have for not placing my order? Why wouldn't they order it and give me the DORA? Could this be an allocation issue? What does Ford require from the dealer to place and accept the order? So does this mean that the car hasn't even been ordered yet? When I first ordered the car I was told that I should have it late 2004 or just after the first of the year (I told them about the IUP/Spoiler delays). When I stopped back a week-and-a-half later they said that it's looking more like the end of Feb.

Well MSRP is listed as $26,685. Did you agree on $561 over sticker? Seems like an odd price. My OTD price is on my sig, $500 over invoice.

That's supposed to be $500 over inv. they also have a $399 prep fee that I agreeded to. It also includes tax (6%) plus another 1% fee for something that Florida charges (I forget, but it's legit), and tags are expensive here. No income tax, but they make it back up.

I see you're in FL, where at? Do we need to find new dealers or what? How's everyone else getting theirs so quick (relatively)? My dealer told me the same stuff.

I am in Florida as well. I have never paid tax for a car at a dealership, always paid for it when I got my tags. Well, you get it back when you renew your tags, only cost me about $35 a year to renew.

Their allocations don't affect whether or not they order it. Only whether or not Ford "pulls" the order.
Just because they haven't given you a DORA doesn't mean they haven't ordered it, but that piece of paper doesn't mean they have.
Only the DORA will prove they ordered it. Like I said, IF they ordered it, Ford will send them a DORA the next day. However, some dealers only order on certain days. Mine was Mondays so the DORA was available the following Tuesday.
As for why they wouldn't have ordered it yet, there's no telling with salsemen, but it probably has something to do with money.

Well when i called back they said nope the order isnt pulled and no car... i ordered a Black GT shaker 1000 IUP auto.

Invoice for your car should be $25,319 which includes $22 for gas, $625 for delivery, $399 doc fee, and $240 for the Ford Dealer Ad fee. If the price is $500 over invoice, you would be paying $25,819 plus your taxes, tag fee, title fee, and that 1% fee you mentioned.
The price on your Order Confirmation looks more like $500 over MSRP (sticker price).

Jason

EDIT: I went back and added in your dealer's doc fee.

Price looks right to me. 500 over invoice including %6 florida tax and 1% florida additional charge. Comes about 27,something. This number looks right to me.

My mistake. You're right.
Man those FL taxes really kill it!
Guess that's the "price" you pay for not having state income tax. (no pun intended)
