Hiya. I'm looking for a GT with a particular configuration, and don't want to tip my hand to my dealer just yet as far as knowing how much other dealerships are asking for the same thing (if it even to be found). Knowing the book price/invoice price is useful, but I'm also trying to get some more "real world" type numbers so I'll know what to expect. Here's all I really feel like I have to have:

- Silver GT (either Deluxe or Premium - I want the Shaker 500, but have no preference about leather seats)
- any color interior, either leather or not (although interestingly enough, according to the Ford Direct website, it's cheaper for me to get the Premium package with leather than it is to get the Deluxe package and Shaker 500 seperately...)
- automatic transmission
- Bullitt wheels
- Shaker 500

Everything else is completely negotiable!

Since I'm in North Carolina, I'm not having anything like this show up in any of the online inventories. I've also made a few preliminary phone calls, but so far, zippo. I did see one in Rocky Mount recently which was very close - it had a manual transmission - but the asking price for it was over $29,000! That's just insane. I got my last car from a dealer in Georgia and had it transferred to me at no cost (seriously - the dealer I do business with from is as honest as can possibly be). I'd just like to try to get a feel for whether or not this car could possibly be out there somewhere. I know you must be thinking "why not just have him try to find it for you," but the truth is that I would like to try to gather just as much objective information as possible before sitting down to start negotiating anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the link. However, I'm also looking to actually *find* one which I could go ahead and buy ASAP. I'm hoping that perhaps someone here has seen what I'm looking for? I don't even care if it's in another state across the country - I know I can have it transferred for nothing.

Good luck. Most of the GT's in Florida are already spoken for. I ordered mine in September and when it came in my salesman told me there were about 25-30 people that would have bought it on the spot.

Right now there's not a lot of surplus on the GT's.

It took me a month to find my GT on a lot. I pulled zip codes off of autotrader and searched forddirect.com. It was a pain, but I finally found one.

It's probably going to take quite a bit of searching to find it.

Check out Ford's site. Put in what you want and a zip code to find what is around that area.

If you are willing to be flexible on your color - try Karpro - he posted in the the last couple of days about 2 GT's coming into his dealership. He also is very fair on price. Just look up his forum name and you can get his contact information. Good Luck !

Thanks for some of the suggestions. I have also been trying as many different major zip codes for state capitals on the east coast as I can find. Unfortunately, most of the results I'm coming up with are all V6's. (Seriously, I can't even find a single GT of ANY type in all of North Carolina.) I'm still holding out hope, though, that some watchful person might just happen to see what I'm looking for...
