I know that color has been beaten to death, but I need someone who has actually seen the cars to respond.
As someone who HAS seen the cars in person, I'd have to say that it's really a hard decision. I have a Sonic blue ranger and love the color, but i'm planning to paint my '66 Satin or CD silver(not sure which, CD silver is a focus color) and the Satin silver vert. that we ran Friday nite was beautiful!! Personally, I would have a hard time chosing too, cause I really like all of the colors, including the legend lime that i thought was gross until i saw it in person.. I can say that the Satin silver does look gray in the right light, but not in a bad way. And, guess what, my F-150 is yet another silver so you could say I like silver a little. If you're not fond of purple, I'd stay away from the Sonic 'cause it does llok purple at nite sometimes.

Just wait for an Ivy green, highland green, or the modern interpretation: tropic green!
The color looks great. There are two v-6's at my house. Mine, and my father's. His has a gold stripe, mine a white one. Looks dorky in the driveway, but hey...
we call it the corrall. heheh
Add in a dark green van.... and then the driveway looks like an obsession.

I think satin silver is a great color, and may be what I wind up with, but if 2006 will indeed offer the tungsten silver of the concept car, and not the darker titanium silver, then I must get that one!

Grantsdale,

I am pretty sure it is a delay on Legend Lime's optioned with the door mouldings. They are probably having issues with an outside supplier who paints the mouldings.

My current car is silver and I have trouble finding it in a parking lot because everyone else has one also. I am going with the windveil or maybe redfire
That's because you park it with all the other cars, put it at the other end of the parking lot and you won't have any problems finding it, besides it will stand out more if it's by itself....just my .02

Well you should know my answer to your question based on my forum name. This might convince you to get the Sonic Blue, this color is not going to be availbale after 05 :notnice: so it will be a little rare to find Sonic blue in the new generation of the Mustang. my father has ordered a 05 GT satin silver with red interior and I have to say that it will look very sharpe, see pictures below

The silver car, as well as most of the other colors available, screems out for some tasteful blackout and/or tape stripe treatment. Too much of one color which is most pronounced with the white color.

I agree with it needing some stripes. I have order Satin Silver but plan on putting either charcoal or black stripes on the hood. Have to see it in person first before I make any plans. I think black is the sharpest but I have had to many problems with my black 2000, Fords black is aweful. Redfire is really nice looking, saw it in person, but afraid I would get sick of it to soon.

What? What? No Sonic Blue after 05? Nooooooooooooo!!!!!

I'm gonna have to wait a couple years till I get a new stang and you're telling me sonic blue won't be available then? Well, THAT stinkS hiney!

Oh Well. :nono: Looks like I'm gonna have to go with the satin silver and white stripes.

Hopefully, they'll have some kind of good looking blue color by then. I wonder if they'll bring back true blue. I was kinda bummed they didn't offer this for the 03 model year when I bought my 6. True blue was an awesome color. But now that they are not going to be offering sonic blue, just breaks my heart.

Don't want to get windveil cuz it just looks kinda wimpy IMO (sorry if I offended those who plan on getting this color). Don't wanna get redfire cuz I already have a redfire 03 V6, which I plan on keeping as my daily beater.

My order of paint choices would probably be:

1. Torch Red
2. Black
3. Yellow
4. Redfire
5. Sonic Blue

But - ask me tomorrow and they might be just the opposite. I really would have a hard time narrowing it down. Still, I think that either the Torch Red or Black would be one of my first choices either way.

Redfire is an awesome color for those of you who do plan on getting this on their new stang. Look at any current 03/04 stang with redfire and you'll be amazed. I like the way my redfire 6 just sparkles in the sunlight, especially after I had just washed it.

I like the color discussions. I am debating as well.

I have narrowed it down to the following:

1. Mineral Grey w/IUP and Red leather.
I saw this combo at the Ford Racing Event on Belle Isle. Sweet. I have always liked this color on the Explorers and 'Stangs.

2. Legend Lime
Such a sweet throwback 60s color. I'd pair this up with the IUP and Dark Charcoal

3. Sonic Blue
I have this on my '02 SVT Focus. Its such a nice color, but tough to keep clean.

4. Performance White
Easy to keep clean, but if kept up, I think white is a long-lasting color.

Ah, such decisions...
