I know that color has been beaten to death, but I need someone who has actually seen the cars to respond. I ordered the GT deluxe (I could wait no longer), Satin silver. Does this color really look silver in real life or gray as some of the pictures make it appear.
I love the red, but I already have a 66 thats red. Or the Sonic Blue, does it sometimes appear as purple? I saw an F-150 at the lot that had Sonic blue, but it looked purple from some angles.
Please, anyone. THANKS

BTW my dealer is getting 8 mustangs.
Delevery date is mid October, he couldn't remember exactly.
One is a customer order the rest are dealer orders. Now he has 9 coming in.

I think that was Azure blue that looked purple in the sun. Could be wrong.

Go look at some 04's in person and if your not really sure, wait to see it first hand. Unless our loaded, then just buy 2.

I have a Sonic Blue SVT Focus. Its a very nice color. During the daylight/sunshine, it definetely appears blue. Once the sun starts to dim, it takes on a more purple/blue appearance. Its really is a striking color. Most of the SVT Focus boards have taken polls, and Sonic Blue always seems to get the most votes. The color right next to it poll-wise...Silver, the color you like. I have seen the silver in person and it is definetely silver, not gray. If you ordered the Silver and like it, then go for it!

I'd say go for the sonic blue. You'll be much hppier with it, but silver isn't bad too. A neighbor of mine has a sonic blue 03 GT and it looks awesome. sometimes I see it in the drive way, especially after he washes it and it looks killer IMO. It depends on some angles and some lights where it is sometimes blue or purple.

On a side note....My next stang (gt/cobra/mach 1) will probably be sonic blue with silver metallic stripes down the middle.

I ordered a Satin Silver GT and then about 2 weeks ago, yet ANOTHER of my neighbors bought ANOTHER silver car (well, a 4Runner).

Now there's 7 silver cars in the driveways of just four houses next to mine. I changed the order immediately to Performance White.

If you look in a parking lot, which colors do YOU see first? That is the color your Mustang should be so you'll always love it. I always thought colors like black, silver and blue made your car blend in with others too much, so white, yellow and even the green would be my final 3 choices till I turn 100 years old (which I do plan on! lol)

Ehh... <_<

Performance white is alright, but its kinda bland IMO. Shoulda just stuck with the silver, but I understand you HAD to be different. I say go with the yellow and REALLY stand out!

I got Performance White only b/c my current 1999 Mustang is Oxford White and I still love the color after 5 years. My parents have always bought white too, as they claim the color never gets boring, never fades and looks new/classy 10 years later if taken care of, never shows those awful swirls of darker colors, repairs much easier than a metallic color, and is much more customizable than most colors. I'm sure silver's cool, but I just hate mixing into the background that is traffic.

If you can, choosing yellow is a great idea, but ask some owners of yellow cars (at least 3-4 years) if they are bored with the color... I've heard on this site of "Yellow Boredom" and don't know if it's true or not.

My current car is silver and I have trouble finding it in a parking lot because everyone else has one also. I am going with the windveil or maybe redfire

As far as whites go, performance white is the nicest richest white I've seen. I have it on my Probe GT. Like "milk". If you like white, you won't be disappointed.

I'll be biased and say sonic blue

It does have the purpley tinge to it, I would keep my eyes out if I were you for an '03-04 Mustang with the color, or a ranger pickup.

This is a hard color to judge in pictures, it is best to see one in person.

Based on attending the 40th Anniversary Celebration in Nashville, the Ford Racing Innovation Drive on Belle Isle in Detroit, and the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, I have seen all of the colors in person. Much to my surprise, the satin silver is the color I like the best. I wasn't even considering it until I first saw it at the Ford Racing innovation drive. The redfire is also a good color, but I had a Contour SE of similar color and want a change. The color I was most disappointed in after I seeing it was the windevil blue. Too soft or pastel of a color for a Mustang.
