Please HELP!

I posted a week or so ago about getting screwed on the wheels on my new 07 mustang. I was hoping that someone here could help me.

Recap - I asked for Polished rims and the car that arrived at my dealership (Wayne Morris Ford) that was delivered from (Dean Stallings Ford) had Premium rims on it. The sticker says Polished! The TPMS was tripped in the car. Dean Stallings says they didn't switch the rims and that it is fords fault and wont help. I believe they cheated me.

Please help...

I would like to send and email to fords management team. I found there names online but do not know the nomenclature for ford. Does anyone know it.

Example - Billford@ford.org or bford@ford.org

Once I know the nomenclature I can just add in the names and send this email. I am happy with the car and frustrated by the fact that I have been cheated. I shouldn't have to purchase rims now??? I beleive that Ford needs to know about this. It is just a set of rims and is nothing to Ford. I need some customer service and Dean Stallings will not assist. My dealership should not have to fit the bill, they did nothing wrong.

So you have no TPS monitors on your wheels on an 07? That is not right. You did say you were ok with the premium wheels, right? YOUR dealer should have put the TPM straps on your car.

i'VE SEEN SHADY DEALERS DO THE WHEEL SWITCH BEFORE ! Do you have like a Better Buisness Buro there tell them you have documented proof or go see the manager skip the jerk that sold it and tell him you want the polished or they are not keeping thier end up !

yeah man, and i bet they did not even remember the TPMS and that is proof that they swapped the wheels. i bet if you could go through all their polished wheels you will find your wheels somewhere

If the sticker says polished, you should have gotten polished. Talk with your dealer (manager, not salesperson) and tell them you want it made right. If they say "no," ask for the name and number of a person at Ford to talk to. They can get you in touch with a zone rep (or whatever they're called nowdays). If that doesn't work, call your BBB and see what steps are available. Check and see if your state has a consumer advocate that deals with this type of problem. The attourney general's office is a good place to start.

The only way to deal with a crooked dealer is to put enough heat on them to get them to do what they should have done in the first place.

Thank all for the assistance.

I will not go peacfully into the night. I have filled a complaint with the BBB. Hopefully this turns up the heat.

Next course of action. Contacting Ford somehow. I will try to get into contact with the zone rep this weekend.

I'm ready to go to war for what is right!

Try this link. Call Ford , you may get lucky. Corporate types don't like bad PR, mention your post on this website. Without people like us, there would be no Ford. Better yet email them with a link to this site and your topic. You have nothing to loose but a little bit of your time.

I have emailed the dealership and told them what steps I will take if they continue to not assist me. I told them that I will be posting in popular mustang forums about the complete situation, contacting local ford zone reps, and contact ford motor company. I'll keep you all up to date.

I was so excited to get this car! Now I don't even want to post a pic on this site because I am upset about this situation.

Whatever happens, I would like to say it is great to be a part of this forum community. I am very impressed with this website and it members.

Thanks,

Tom

Do you know anyone that works at your local newspaper. They tend to love little "scoops" like this. Bolsters the whole "we are on your side" crap. If you can get them to write something about this, then just take the newspaper over to him and casualy ask him if he still wants to play some more?

Hmmm, sticker says polished and car has TPMS installed but the car doesn't have the polished rims on it. As someone else already said, I would never have accepted the car. Like Stangster said, talk to the manager of the dealership and not the salesman. If you have spoken to the manager and are not getting anywhere tell him you want his managers name. Start playing the ladder game. Everyone in the company has to report to someone, so if you rattle enough chains they will have no choice but to resolve the matter.

I would talk to Michael Morris at Wayne Morris Ford. He is on the Shelby forums alot and seems to be a great guy. I am assuming he is related to the owner. He has been very helpful with people pn the SAI boards. They sold oyu the car and the guy they got it from only did a swap so they (Wayne Morris Ford) should lean on the guy they did the swap with. if that doesnt work call an attorney.

Thanks Webba for showing me this
i think tom is upset with Dean Stalling Ford. i was ready to take the car back to them when we found the wheels and been swapped. i talked to the guy up there and he refused to admit that they had swapped them.
tom and i came to an agreement and he said he would be OK with the car.
we are actively searching for him a new set of take off wheels for his car, but the price of the new wheels thru the parts dept is close to 1200 dollars. we sold the car on Xplan and didnt have any money to help on the wheels.
Tom is a GREAT GUY and enjoyed doing buisness with him and his wife. i really hope to do more with him in the future.
i pretty sure that his fight is with Dean Stalling Ford and not us. i just didnt want the other mustang guys on here to misread the post and think that Wayne Morris Ford mistreated Tom in anyway.
Tom if i can help with proof about the wheels to Ford please let me know, i would love to help any way i can.

I would just tell them that all 07 must have the TPMS installed. If yours is not installed and they sold it to you that way, then they are breaking the law. I think this is the Federal Law.

Doesn't sound like Michael is doing squat. Pursuing action against Dean Stalling Ford won't work because your contract was with Wayne Morris Ford, not Dean Stalling Ford. YOUR dealer should make it right, not refer you to the dealer THEY got the from.

1. Wayne Morris Ford should not have accepted the car if the correct wheels weren't on it. They had to have known when the car was dropped off if the TPMS light was triggered.

2. You shouldn't have taken delivery until this was resolved. There are plenty of mustangs out there right now.

3. In order for this to get resolved, you have to file the complaint with Ford against Wayne Morris Ford, they will in turn drag Dean Stalling Ford into it for switching the wheels, and Ford (hopefully) will dictate who has to do what to satisfy you. If that doesn't work..... go legal.......it's obvious they were "negligent."

Telling you to go after the other dealer is passing the buck and pi$$ poor customer service.

I really have to agree with Hiroller on this one.

I also don't see how if you chose to sell the car with basicly no profit how that is the guys problem who bought it.

Your Dealership got yourself into this position and pushed it off onto the customer cause you don't want to deal with the problem you caused.

Fix his wheels YOU accepted the car with the problem YOU need to fix it!!!

1. i never told him to go after the other dealer. when i talked to dean stallings ford and they said they would NOT make it right i told them i was bringing it back.
2. to get the exact car Tom wanted was not out there. color, interior, and exact options. i started looking as soon as they said the wouldnt make the right.
3. i offered to order an 08 just like he wanted, but after we talked for a sometime he and his wife decided that he could live with the wheels. Tom decided he could always change the wheels in the future, but that he couldnt change color or inside color later. so he went with the w wheels.
4. the car was purchased X plan. if you dealer transfer in an Xplan there is NO profit for the selling dealer. not crying here, just really like Tom after i spoke with him and wanted to help him get his dream car. BEFORE he bought the car he understood that i would do my best to help him find the wheels he wants for his car, but before i would be held resposable for the wheels i would rather send it back to the first dealer and let them worry with the next customer about the wheels.

i dont believe Tom and i have a problem. i helped him with some other things to make up for the wheels and he agree that it was fine. he has a awesome car, he is a GREAT guy and has a great wife., but im not going to let you guys run down my dealership when yall dont know all the facts.

I agree if the wrong wheels are on the car that he did NOT have to purchase the car. i would have sent it back the next day to Dean Stallings Ford, but we came to an agreement that we both could live with. i really think he is complaining about Dean Stalling and not Wayne Morris Ford, but i could be wrong and i will find out very soon.
