Planning Labor day weekend road trip to Lake Placid, NY
Me and a friend of mine are planning a trip to Lake Placid this Labor Day weekend.
If anyone is familiar with this route up from Philadelphia and knows of any bad construction areas please let me know.
Also it would be really cool if we could get a couple other Mustangs to join in the ride, even if it is only for a portion of the trip.
If you live near this route and want to join in feel free.
I'll be driving a 2006 yellow Mustang GT with CDC ducktail spoiler, black strips, and GT-H side scoops.
We are going to leave Philadelphia around 6:30am Saturday morning.
The trip to Warrensburg says about 5 hours but will probably be more like 6 hours. So we should be getting off Route 87 at Warrensburg around 12:30pm.
If anyone is interested in this trip and wants to hook up somewhere post a reply or send me a private message and I'll see if we can put something together.
We are staying there all weekend and leaving Tuesday.
I will also have a walkie talkie set to channel 7 or 14 depending or the interference

I'm up that way every summer. Never really any major construction problems. Just take the thruway up basically a little past albany, then its smaller roads. The biggest pain will be on these when you get stuck behind a slow mover up ahead and can't pass. Oh yeah, watch out going over steep hills, the troopers up there love to sit on the other side and catch you at peak speed.

I'll keep my eyes open.
