pinstripes

While I wait for my car to arrive, I'm going through diferent schemes in my mind as to what I want to do to the appearance. One of the things I'm considering is pin stripes down the top of the fenders and body like alot of cars had back in the day. Maybe even having the quarter panel stripe curve down a little where the "hip" used to be, end there, then start again on the door and continue to the front, giving the illusion of a hip.
My questions are; How do you guys and gals think it would look, and can anyone post a pic or two if you have these type of pinstripes, or even photo-shop a pic to see what it might look like? Thanks, Carl

I can't post any pics but I saw a really nise s-197 pinstriped just like you discribed and it looked really nice. The pinstriping was a black double micro on a screaming yellow Stang and really defines the body line.

Thanks grabber. Was begining to wonder if anyone was going to respond. My stang will be vista blue, but GO was a close second, I love that color as well. I'm enjoying the wait by planning the wheels/tires, paint/graphics add-ons, and power mods etc. I'll be using. FYI: this is the guy that will do my stripes etc, check his website out; http://dunnautographics.com/

Mine is pin striped. I am not sure if this is what you mean, or if these show up that well in the pics, but maybe it will give you an idea.

I personally don't care for pinstripes, especially since most dealerships charge $100 for something that cost them $1 and five minutes of labor.

The dealership did them before I ever laid eyes on the car. There was no dealer mark up, or none of those "accessory" tags for the stripes. I'm sure I paid for them one way or another, but I don’t really know how much.

I like the thin pinstripes on the side of the car, and having hood stripes with a thin pinstripe framing them would look good as well.
