Congratulations! Very sweet ride!

Here's your nanner...

I'm thinking after your engine cover you should get the SHR honeycomb and some clear marker/rear marker lenses.

on your new Mustang! BTW does anyone know the size of the nuts that hold the plenum cover to the front posts? Long story, but I have a cover w/o any nuts. It stays on fine over the posts, but I would like to secure it better..

Meh. Looks just like every other white GT/CS out there.

Just kidding! Looks great! I know what it's like to order a car and wait and wait (twice now), it's such a relief to get it home, and start really enjoying it. You're gonna love every second of it, I'm sure!

Congratulations!

Cool The Sirius Frog

Oh Yeah. Forgot to share with you. At first we hated the black Sirius frog on the trunk. But as we have been showing the CalStang all summer long, people ask and want to know what that thing is. I just tell them it is the Sirius antenna frog and they say cool!! Long story short. It has become an A+ symbol for having a very sweet satellite radio system on board in the CalStang!! As Gov. Arnold says, CooooooL.

Drove 150 miles today. Car is oustanding. No problems at all. My Girlfriend basically told me not to speak to women who try to throw themselves at me. My Dad The car is fantastic. I couldn't be happier. This is my first vehicle with automatic stuff like door locks, windows, trunk. Shaker 500 system in mine sounds so good I'm considering scrapping the entire idea of adding a sub in the rear and instead just checking on the rear speakers and adding an amp/speakers there if/when needed. The system doesn't rattle and it looks like I even have some kind of moleskin in the doors. I'll be tinting soon so I'll let you know how it goes.

Congrats on a great looking car. The CS package really looks good in white with those wheels. You'll love the Hurst shifter, both for the look and for the way it feels.

Those 18" polished Bullitts are my favorite Ford wheels by far. I'm glad you're happy wit your CS. I kinda like the satellite antenna, its a good symbol of a good stereo system...most times. I think Sirius is the best invention for cars in a loong time, FM sucked so much, I never even listen to it anymore. All our cars have Sirius.

Cool Love the Shaker 500 system!!

We have the Shaker 500 also and love it for a stock sound system! Just crank it up on the highway and believe that you will find this unit to be plenty of music quality and some real great volume! We are just going to the upgrade of the rear speakers and then call it good! FYI: and the Sirius is most excellent for those long road trips. Just pick you music and roll!! The more you drive and enjoy your new GT/CS, the easier it will be to figure out just what you want to do, to make it your own way. CooooL

Congrats again!

I just wanted to add that I think Ford has improved the Shaker 500. It seems like it sounds better then my 05 Shaker 500. Other little things got improved too, like the moleskin being added. Good job Ford!

Enjoy that new Mustang, I have mine!

Talking

I have to agree on the upgrades. The shaker 500 seems incredible in my 08. It sounds totally different than the ones I saw as 07's. My girlfriend got in my car and was like wtf your stereo sounds incredible. She had a mustang a few years ago and says this one is a whole new breed of awesome.

I've been jamming to sirius radio and my ipod. I haven't even bothered with a cd or mp3 cd yet. I will get on that this weekend and check the version information to see if they upgraded the ID3 tags that give you music information on the display. Previously only 1.0 ID3 tags would work and I have a feeling the 08's got an upgrade to the latest format.

Well, that's interesting to know. What extra info do these 1.0 ID3 tags show?

I mainly use the CD-R player with my Shaker 500. I tried the MP3 player through the Aux in port in the center console and it works, but the volume is too low. You have to crank your MP3 player up all the way to get the volume up to a decent level.

But, I also like the crome trim on some of the buttons on the Shaker 500. Looks better then I expected, and goes real good with the chrome AC/heater switch covers I got!

That's the bad thing about AUX cable, they all seem to register at a low volume.
