I have a performance white 05 gt. Just got back from driving it in our local Christmas Parade. Fantastic, unbelievable comments from the parade watchers............and not a single negative remark.

white gets dirty more easily than black but it does stand out.

I like white the best because white techinally isn't even a color. White paint really just lets the car's great lines speak for themselves without any distraction. JMO

White reflects all the colors of the spectrum . So what we see are all the colors combined.
Whereas black absorbs all the colors. That's why it gets hotter than other colors.
So really, black isn't a color. It's a lack of it.

Depends on who you ask, to an artist, neither black nor white are colors.

Technically, isn't white ALL colors?

....for me also the best color!!!
....for me also the best color!!!
I was thinking the other day that the white with the red accent interior would be sweet...
I almost ordered white. My 2000 was white and I loved it. White is a classy looking color to me. I have second guessed silver a few times but so far I am happy with it, but white was my second choice. White with red leather looks awesome.
White is nice if that's what you like. But it isn't for me. When I go to a dealer I state up front no red, white, or black. I drove a 96 black stang for 4 years & it showed dirt like I couldn't believe. So when I got ready to trade I figured white would be just as bad. But the Mineral Grey I had. Loved it. When everyone else was driving a salt covered vehicle in the winter you couldn't even notice it on mine.
BTW I thought white was the absent of all color? Could be wrong since I never took art. Just what I thought I remembered from somewhere.

Statistically, white is among the safest colors when it comes to accidents (according to State Farm) and I noticed lots of white-colored car drivers do drive as agressively (me included!!) as anyone else.
I think white colors never get boring to their owners whereas black is boring immediately since it mixes in with what I call the street colors = black, blue, silvers, grays, dark reds, etc. These colors are dark at night and blend with the street during the day, so they never stick out if that was your point all along.
I love my white Mustang (w. Blue Shelby stripes) b/c it's soooo easy to find in a parking lot and at night, it does glow bright ( = white colored car with a good heaping of wax to keep it all glossy and such).

From Science 101 - White is the absence of color.
I just saw my first Performance White '05 today - it was a V6 loaded out and I didn't have my camera to get any pics. I'll be going back later this week (if the dealer still has it) to get some pics and I'll post them here. It has the parchment interior which really looked good. My first choice though for interior would be the Red Accent package or just the dark charcoal by itself.
But the white looked GREAT!
