A Perfectly Good Mustang Gave It's Life For This...
#22
It does. It looks like that hot wheels car that gets left on the shelf for a long time. It won't stay on the peg anymore because the cardboard hole is torn open. It just lays there for a few months until it hits the clearance shelf at the end of the aisle. Then some grandma buys it as a gift for a kid that while he is happy to have it, really wanted a mustang.

HAHAHAHAHA.. do smarts have their engines in the rear? is that cone filter functional on the batsmart?? the first time i glanced at that picture, i assumed it was just a glued on cone filter to look like a cheesy jet exhaust and couldn't stop laughing for some reason. less funny and pretty cool if it's functional.
and yeah, that mustang is hideous, it belongs in ricer hell, not heaven. but i can see that alot of time, effort, and skill went into it and it has some cool concepts,

The Batsmart is pretty **** cool. While I can't say I like the purple monster, you cannot deny the talent involved in putting that thing together. Considering the time, money, and design expertise required to pull that off, its not horrible. I suspect a lot of what we're all rejecting about the look has to do with the color. One cannot help but think of Barney the dinosaur when you look at it. As someone mentioned, paint it black and suddently we might be able to appreciate it a little more.

And the Galpin thing was done purely to get these posts. Ford doesn't have the money to make anything themselves, so the farm it out to the GAS boys to made some press for them. Pretty smart move on Ford's part actually.....
