I asked for my DORA and VOC from my dealer. After almost 2 weeks I received my DORA, but no VOC.

The ERL asks for the 5 digit dealer code which I know is on the VOC. I can't seem to find anything that resembles a 5 digit dealer code on the DORA. Here is the question:

If I get the 5 digit code verbally from my dealer will I need anything else to track my order through the ERL? (If I have to call him I want to ask for all the info I need on the one call. Trying not to be too much of a pest!)

Thanks in advance!

The dealer code on my VOC appears plain as day. It says "Dealer: F27070" I just dropped the "F".

On my DORA, it appears as "27G070". I dropped the "G", since it's a numeric code. Don't know if this helps at all. I don't have any trouble checking my status using the number described above.

Good luck!

Ok, I think I see what the problem is. On my photocopy I can tell there's a number in front of the name of the dealer. Unfortunately, this number is missing the first digits. All I can see is an 02. It appears that the photocopy I'm looking at was made from an original that had holes punched in it to be placed in a three ring binder.

So, I guess I'll have to call the dealer. Will I need anything more than the 5 digit dealer code?

Thanks,
WD

The ERL will ask you for the make of car you're checking the status of, the 5-digit dealer code, whether you will be checking status using the VIN or order number, the year of the vehicle, the body type (for example, GT premium is "T82"), and your order number. That's about it.

Hope you get through and get the information you need.

Just go by your dealer's lot tonight after all the salesmen have gone - their dealer number is on every factory sticker on every car on their lot.

Ok, got everything I need. Now I just can't seem to get the ERL to recognize the "Z" at the beginning of the order number :bang: :bang: :bang:

According to my DORA, my order is Z029. Should I drop the "Z"??

Humm...well the order number is 4 numbers. Don't know about a dealership going into letters. The one on mine was 4027. So maybe the first one is a 2. Might be misprint on page. If it is a Z for some reason the erl has problems with letters so keep trying.

When the dealer called me, I could swear he said my order number was
Z0295. (I left my notepad at work so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to check)
I tried using 0295 and got "no information is available"

Thanks for the info, and I'll keep trying. :bang:

Mine started with the letter M + 3 digits. The ERL only recognizes "M" in my southern accent about half the time. Most of the time the ERL thinks I am saying Q, go figure.

Anyway, good luck. I hope that you get the information that you are looking for.

Help please! I talked to an analysist today somewhere in india. She asked for the dealer code and a p & a number to verify, although she might have said pna, or something. I have no idea what this is. Anyone know what she wants? Is there anything else I should know before I make another attempt? I only talked to her after calling for the last week w/o it accepting the vin number. Its eeeeeeeeeevil! Also, can the dealer find out you are checking on the car?

Go to the fleet.ford.com website. You can find your dealer there and it will have their dealer code. As others have said, ignore the alpha character.

I know the dealer code, but not the other p & a number that she asked for. This is what I have no idea about.

Dave, I think yhou should forget talking to the analysts. If you have your codes correct, ERL should work fine. You order # is four numbers, I'm reasonably sure. I have no idea what a P&A or PNA is, but the ERL doesn't need that.

I would call Ford Customer Relationship Center @ 800-392-3673 and speak with a live person. You will need your Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC) from the dealer. ERL data is not reliable in my experience.
