I imagine so. Just look at the 2000 Cobra R. You can get parts from that for the GT or Cobra. Its just a matter of when they will become available.

They will have upgrade parts, I imagine the GT-R parts will only become available IF it is produced. It is only a concept at this point.

Little to no chance the car itself will be produced.

However, from the press release:

"The roll cage, rear spoiler and some chassis components are all being considered for further development."

You can already buy the motor and trans from FRPP, and comparable wheels, tires, and suspension components will be available in the aftermarket. The hood might show up too. So might a body kit, but I would hold my breath for the flared, ducted fenders to be part of it.

The Mustang is one of the most aftermarket-market friendly cars ever made. If you can think of it, someone will make it. B)

If you go to autoweek.com's New York Auto Show preview section, they say the following: "Ford will tell enthusiasts that the 2005 Mustang will offer a long list of performance accessories." So, it sounds like Ford may try to push a bunch of their own performance parts for 05 and try to take a piece of the pie from the aftermarket companies.

Ford helps most of the major aftermarket companies develop aftermarket parts. Half of FRPP parts are from major suppliers, not Ford.
