Painted factory plentum cover in G.O.

Just painted my plenum cover to match the G.O. I don't think it turned out to bad for the stock cover. What do you think?

I think it looks great!

Please post a picture of it after you mount it back on the engine.

Can you describe the painting process you decided to use?
It must have been tough to mask off the lines and pony..
Looks like a great job though. I too request pictures!

OK, here are some pics of it back on. Originally my thought was to primer the whole thing and then spray it all black. Then mask off the lines and the lettering and spray over the whole thing again in G.Orange but the masking of the letters was going to be a little to small in some places for me to be able to mask it off well enough ( at least for me ) so I ended up priming the whole thing and then spraying it all G. Orange. Then when it dried I painted all the black by hand with a small brush. When it was dry I then put on some clear coat. The Mustang emblem is a separate piece applied with double side tape so I just pulled it off and reapplied when I was finished with the paint. It might be easier to mask it off but there were a couple of places on mine where the factory tape was lifting so I wanted to redo it anyways. If yours is still stuck on good I would probably just mask it off unless you want to paint it to.

O man, a JLT CAI in G O would look so good with that.

Great job. Looks awesome.

Did you use any special paint and clear coat (heat resistant)?

+1 same as above... what kind of paint and what is on the top of your strut towers? I am wondering how the paint will hold up under the engine heat.

Just some plastic caps I found at the hardware store, I drilled a hole in the center and painted them to match.
