called my dealer today to change rim order back to stock(because ford is screwin around witthis 64e,64w deal)and he said it was too late because my car is already in production with a temporary delay??got my vin..he said i may be receiving car sooner than expected ..anyone know :
1.what is temp delay?
2.how to read a vin?
3.want to buy 18" whatever rims??
thanks for anyones help(looking forward to being part of the mustang family!!!!)

Well, if it is in production, we should know in the very near future what the 64E's look like. It will be nice to finally see what the production wheels will look like.

Job #1 date isn't until 8/8/05. Could it be part of a pre-production run or is the order merely "locked-in" for production but not actually on the assembly line?

Job #1 is set for 8/5/05. I think that's why a few of us have a build week of 8/1/05. They'll sneak a few of us in on the last few days of the first week of Aug. Won't be long now...

Yessir read the sticky 64E's confirmed by ford with pics and order codes as the Bullit wheel.

Your information is incorrect. From the '06 timeline on this site:

It states 8/8/05. Blue Oval News also reports the same Job 1 date.
