Package from Hau Thai Tang!! Pics enclosed!!

I'm reallly excited, so I don't really know where to start. Last year at Carlisle, I got to meet Hau Thai Tang, and get a picture with him. The only downside to that day, was that I forgot to bring a silver marker pen for him to sign my car! Well, that is where work comes in. With access to the Ford product managers for each car line, I got ahold of the Brand Manager of the GT500. From there, I asked ihim if it would be okay to send Hau the picture my friend took to have signed (2 copies; 1 for work, 1 for the car at shows), and my driver's side sun visor.

He emailed me and said no problem, and gave me Hau's address at Ford. Now this was last June. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. Hau gets a BIG promotion to run all of Ford S/A. I got to do it quick as he is leaving VERY soon. I send out the pics, and visor, last Monday. Arrives in Dearborn on Wednesday. I get a box today from DHL! Its from Hau! I open it up, and check it out!! He signed everything I sent, plus he sent me a note written on his own Ford stationary!! Too freaking cool!!! I can't believe I finally have his signature on my car now! Just wanted to share the pics. As some of our fellow members who met him with me at Carlisle can attest, he is a great guy, who cares deeply about the car, the heritage, and all that can be done to them. A true car guy through and through!

That's very cool. Hang on to that stuff. One day it will be worth some big $$, especially if it's all auctioned off at BJ with your car!

Very cool, Jeff. Last year I got his sig on the NAIAS brochure and Shelby's on a pic of the GT500. Both are treasured keepsakes.

My sales manager has promised to have a picture taken of himself doing smokey donuts in my car after it comes in...and then autograph it for me.

Does that count?

Does anyone else find it kind of funny or ironic, that an Asian, is the Cheif Engineer for America's pony car?

I have no problems with Asians, I LOVE the Japanese people here. I just kind of find it funny.

Oops, missed that when I typed it last night. Too excited I guess. Fixed now. Thanks Boomer.

Thanks all for the kind words guys. Skip, you got to post pics of your brand new GT/CS Vert you picked up last night, dude!

I was a bit worried that he wouldn't get the package, since he was out of the country, and even checked to see how much a new visor would cost (you don't want to know), just in case I didn't get it back. Well I got it, and couldn't be happier. Next, I'm sending the passenger side to Shelby!!

He's actually Vietnamiese, and he moved here when he was 4, if memory serves me well. It was the Lawman Drag Racing Mustang that got him hooked on the Mustangss. He's more Americanized than you think. He doesn't even have a foreign accent.

I didn't realize he got the promotion to run all of Ford South America! I'm not sure what's more interesting though - running all of South America, or running the show in the Mustang platform. I bet Brazil has better weather than Michigan though!
