Outline your Ponies
#21
All of you who posted pics of your outlined and colored in ponies inspired me so I outlined my ponies this past weekend in silver. Not the easiest mod I've ever done. It was a little tough on the back and arms at that angle.
Did all of you that did this take off the hood or did you do it on the car? I guess the fact that I did it when it was like 97 degrees out didn't help! They do look great though. Also did any of you get those little "fuzzies" sticking out around the outline from the hood liner? How did you get rid of them?
I need to get caught up on my mod pics........have quite a few things to show you guys.....maybe later today.

Was a pain in the .....back. Odd angle and it was warm out when I did mine. Arm got tired after the 1st one and thats how I messed up the outline on the 2nd one. Why I had to cover up the boo-boo by coloring in the entire pony. WOuld recommend only doing one at a time and take a break in between. The "fuzzy's laid down when I applied a damp cloth after the paint dried.

yeah I was bored yesterday and did it also... but instead of using a paint pen, I used a very thin paintbrush and heat resistant red paint. It looks great, but outlining those things was a major pain.. especially the left side pony since i had to get in a really awkward position to paint it with my right hand. I messed up once but thank god turpentine took the stuff right off

Now where'd you all get that idea from http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index....opic=22586&hl= LOL.
Had mine done for awhile now, just never thought to post pics of it.
Outlined Ponies
Just used a Silver fine tip sharpie and went over any little screw ups with a black one. Using an underhood shoplight helped alot too in staying in the lines.

I actually covered up my "boo boo's" with a black sharpie marker.

I was going to do that, but I wasn't sure how it would turn out since the material was like a really dark grey.. while a sharpie is a flat black
