Ordering a new '08 GT...
I'm planning on heading over to the dealer on Wednesday and ordering an '08 GT. I've had Camaros since I've been driving, but since there isn't one right now, I'm switiching camps. I just wanted to run down what I'm planning on ordering to make sure I'm not missing any vital options.
What I'm planning:
'08 GT Premium Coupe. 5spd manual
Alloy w/ Chamois Premier Interior
IUP (of course, since I need it to get the premier upgrades)
HID's
Comfort Group
I'm not into $2k factory nav & I don't really want the Shaker 1000 since it kills so much trunk space. don't want to spend $1k of the 18's since I'll probably get something aftermarket anyway. Don't want the GT appearance package. I do'nt want to pay $300 for the 3.55's since I'd much rather have 3.73's, 3.90's or 4.10's (haven't decided yet) for not much more than $300. The ambiant lighting I wouldn't want if it was free, let alone $250.
So, tell me. Am I on the right track?
Oh, and this is what it's replacing...
And do'nt worry, I'll make up for the fbody pic with plenty of Mustang pics when it comes in.

Well of course you need the AAT for the HID.
And you have to decide on the Instrument Panel Appliqué on the IUP.
There is my favorite...spoiler delete (13D).
Other than that...
Good choices.
Let's see what the others say.

Do you need to get Active Anti-Theft to get the HIDs?
I'm going to have to check the order guide again.....
I think I prefer the Satin dash with the Chamois interior. I'm trying to go for the classic 60's look.
Oh, I like the stock spoiler. I love the way that spoiler delete cars look if they're lowered, with some stripes, or other eterior mods, but stock, they just look like V6 cars to me. I guess that's why it's an option, I happen to like it, others don't.

Yep, I would say you are on the right track. No sense getting the gears and wheels if you are just going to replace them. The only thing you are missing is an X-plan pin. You can get one on blue oval forums. You will also be able to track you order from there. Great site.

Ordered the car last night. (8/22/07)
2008 Mustang GT Premium Coupe
5spd Manual
Alloy Metalic
Black / Chamois interior
IUP
Satin Dash Panel
Premier Trim Package
Comfort Group
HID Headlights
Active Anti Theft
Cargo Net
I made sure to tell the dealership to call me when I have a VIN assigned so I can track it on blueovalnews.
This is going to be a hard 6-8 weeks. How long is the typical wait? I figure I'll have mine in mid October.

My VIN took about 5 weeks. That is not unusual. It depends on the dealer, the options, the factory, etc.

My car took about 2 months on the dot. ordered 6/25, received 8/23.
But that was the longest two months of my entire life.
Nice color choice.
