I ordered a Redfire/Dark Charcoal GT 5spd manual with IUP and alarm. It's being built this week according to ERL, with a delivery date of Dec 6th.

The dealer calls me yesterday and the just got in a Vista Blue/Dark Charcoal GT 5spd manual with IUP, alarm, wheel locks and the 18" Bullit rims. The car still has the plastic on it and has not been test driven or anything, so I'm trying to work out a fair price seeing as it is a little more expensive. If I can do so, then I will take delivery of the car tonight.

Anyone else done this after they ordered? I think I'll like the Vista Blue even if it's not my first choice. I just don't want to have second thoughts after the fact, so looking for real life examples of people's experiences with situations like this. Thanks!

 

They had a more expensive optioned Vista Blue at my dealership. I almost bought it, but had already waited 5 weeks. I figured what's another 3-4 weeks for the EXACT car I wanted.

I'm glad I waited. I've followed this car since I ordered it, and it's mine, all mine.

Even though I own a Vista Blue GT. You ordered a Redfire GT. I would stick with what you REALLY WANT!

 

I've offically caved in on this. Picking it up tonight, they cut me a nice deal under invoice so I couldn't pass it up. My theory at this point is that I'll be trading it in on a '07 in about a year, so I can get red at that point.
