Ordered 8/14 and still clear/unscheduled...

I checked with my salesman today and he showed me the order form (Priority 10) with the options and the order number. In 2 weeks I haven't made any progress, but it's still early. I also found out how much commission the salesman makes on an A-plan sale (mine). It's a flat fee. Any guesses?

Hmmm - I ordered the 14, and mine was released from the factory on the 28th. But it didn't appear that the Processing Center was consistenly updated - and I called at least once a day. I went from having a segment date to a release date, with none of the other sequences in between.

If you see Mustangs on the lot and they have a good amount of allocation it may not take long to make some progress. (thats the best ive got sorry ive been in that situation too).

I had to wait two months to got from clean and unscheduled to serialized, so two weeks is not as long as it could be. All depends on the size of your dealer as noted in prior post. I went on the dealer inventory page when I found out my order was finally picked up and saw my dealer had sold 2 of their 3 2007 Mustangs, that had to be the reason my order was finally scheduled.

I ordered mine on July 26 and I am in the same boat as you...Although, I am now next to be allocated...I understand this takes place sometimes on Wednesday or Thursday night...I know I must call after 9:00 PM Thursday to find out if I am allocated...I assume the same for you...

Hang in there, you are not alone, call Thursday...That is when I will call next...I hate calling everyday with the same message...Let us know what happens...

Hmmm...

I'm new to this allocation thing - since my dealer is in a smaller city (16,000 population) I'm wondering if I will have to wait many months? They had an '07 GT on the lot when I ordered mine and it's gone. They currently have no new GT's and 3 V6's on the lot. I'm wanting this car badly but I can wait. I just wish I had an ETA - even if it were 3 months away.

My order is with a small dealer and it took 2 months for my order to get picked up. My dealer sells tons of trucks but not many cars. They had one 07 GT and two 07 V6 models on the lot. After my order was serialized, I checked their stock and they had sold the GT and one of the V6 models. So it goes along with the story if it takes sales to generate more allocations but then again maybe it was all just a crazy coincidence!

I ordered mine on 7/14 and ERL still says clean/unsheduled. My dealer was told on 9/15 that they needed to take a product knowledge test before the order would be processed (this is their first Mustang order), which they took and passed. Anyone ever hear of this?

Looks like there is still a fairly long wait for GT's. I ordered an '05 on 03/14/05 and it took 4-1/2 months for delivery. See my signature for Ford Customer Relationship Center; I found them to be very helpful. Hope they still offer this service and good luck!

Shatter - you may be correct - but I sure hope not!! A customer ordered vehicle should have the highest priority over dealer stock....after all - that's a guaranteed sale for both Ford and the dealer with no flooring costs, etc. I got mine in a little over 6 weeks from a small dealer in CA.....so happens my good friend is the GM at the dealer - that probably helped speed things up - but I really feel for the rest of you - there seems to be no rhyme or reason on the Ford ordering process.....

ERL says I'm serialized as of 9/28, so it took me 11 weeks

It seems those that had got the 18" wheels had to wait longer.

I waited 7 months to get mine... then again 2 of those months it was sitting in a quality hold, and 2 more were after they shipped it, and lost it.

I don't want to rub salt in any wounds here, but my '07 GT order went in the system on Sept 19. The car was delivered to the dealership in NJ on Oct 17. Four weeks to the day from the order being placed! From what I can see on these forums, I was extremely lucky to get my GT in four weeks. Here is what I ordered:

Alloy Premium Coupe
Charcoal int
5 speed
IUP
CGP
PTP - black inserts
3.55 gears
Anti-theft
Side impact airbags
Charcoal dash panel
Sirius

I am a little short on time but I will properly introduce myself to the group next week.

Robert
